Lazy summer days in England

I took the boys for our annual 2 weeks summer break to visit my family in England.  We were very lucky with the weather and the first week was filled with sunny days.

We spent most of the time either at the local parks or in my sisters garden hanging out!

It was lovely to relax and catch up while Tae was entertained by all his cousins. As we sat and chatted a great deal of tea was consumed!

How did my nephews C & B grow up so quickly? Handsome devils and both amazing musicians too:))
Tae loves the fact that my sister has lots of toys and a sand pit to play in.

Tim obviously went straight off to play with his best buddy cousin T.

garden + toys + sunshine = perfect xx

Olympics 2012

The excitement of the Olympics is all over Britain at the moment. Since we visiting England while it was on, my sister and I took the opportuntity to take the boys to Old Trafford to see the Spain v Morocco match!

Tae, my mum and I went to the stadium to collect the tickets a few days ahead of the game.

Once we had the tickets the boys really began to get excited about attending an Olympic event.

On the day we took the train and bus to the stadium. Tim was very excited, not only for the Olympic football match, but also for a day out with his cousins.

One of the reason we booked to watch the Spain v Morocco match was because of Tim's love of Barcelona!

Even though there was alot of people, there were many volunteers directing and helping people to get into the stadium quickly.

The atmosphere was amazing, we arrived early so got some drinks and snacks and soaked up the excitement!

The stadium was very full with all the supporters mixed together. We had great seats on row G in the South Stand. I was especially happy that we had padded seats which were very comfy!

The boys enjoyed all the cheering, clapping and mexican waves:)
The match itself had great play!
I was very impressed that after all the hours I have spent watching Tim play over the years I actually know some of the rules:) I knew if it was a corner or who's ball it should be. The first half was pretty equal. However, Morocco's number 9,  Noureddine Amrabat stood out and may well be my new favourite player. Spain dominated the second half, but at the the final whistle it was still 0-0.

Ice Bar

While the boys went to Kids Club, the adults treated themselves to a visit to the icebar.
(FYI - the boys LOVED kids club and wanted to be there much longer than we ever allowed - I like family holidays with my children;)

I challenge anyone to look stylish in this poncho, but MIL and I did try!!

Why I used the word treated Im not sure! It was seriously freezing in there. Obvious I know, but even with the gloves and thermal suit, I have neverneeded to down 2 vodka cocktails so quickly in my life so we could get out of there!!

How Tig managed without putting his hood up I have no idea - must be the Viking blood! MIL found it as cold as me.

The camera also agreed it was too cold and didn't work properly, hence the blueish photos in nearly all the photos!.

I will add that although sweet, the cocktails were yummy.
They were also served in an ice glass, just incase it was not cold enough;)

Love Tig's expression - It's his I can't believe I agreed to this face!!

Out and About on the Ship

This is a basic photodrop of nights on the ship!

Quite a few were taken on our balcony before we went out.

Before heading out to the Italian restaurant! We had a table at the front of the ship and had an amazing view as the ship left Naples.

Tae discovered a love of jelly on this holiday! A perfect dessert that has no milk:))

Watching the waves at a favourite restaurant while waiting for his meal..

Tae loved using the keycard to open the door whenever we returned to the cabin.

Tim and MIL shared a cabin a few doors down. We could chat across the balconies if needed:)
