Fresh Air

A long weekend means nice family time. However, this weekend I need to study and the weather sucks!

Yep - sucks, I don't use this phrase lightly.

It is May and rainy and cold.

When a break in the clouds appeared on Thursday afternoon, I seized the moment, grabbed my camera, ordered the 3 men in my life (erm.. that would be politely requested) to get their shoes on and we would do a quick trip to feed the ducks.

(disclaimer: Tim thinks the rain-suit Tae is wearing is "ridiculous". Claiming 'it is just wrong to put anyone, let alone his brother in that bright yellow outfit'! I stand by the fact he is 4 years old, and it is cute:)

It all started very promising with Tae having fun on his scooter and Tig and Tim chatting away.

Just as we approached the ducks the rain came.....

Not a little, but a lot!

Basically it poured down.

So, Tig and Tim quickly threw the bread at the poultry and off we quickly ran home.

I tried to stay positive as the water dripped off my nose, smiling at everyone stating at least we got out the house and had some lovely fresh air. This is Tim's happy face as we finally got home.

Tig may have also mentioned that although he still loved me, after this, perhaps a little bit less - not one of my better ideas;)

How to make lemonade

First, you need a boy who loves lemonade!

Second, a boy who loves experimenting in the kitchen!

This equals = Tim:)

His general love of food shops and locating the local stores and markets on holiday is spreading. This has been encouraged by starting Home Economics at school this year.

He has been cooking up a storm since. Friday night he started out doing a practice run of a school cooking contest next week. His menu was chicken kebabs, with homemade Tzatziki, followed by a chocolate mousse. He needed a little help with separating the egg, but overall did a great job.

Saturday, he decided to make some homemade lemonade.

He found a recipe and off he went!

He had lots of fun doing it all by himself, and it actually tasted quite good too.

Tig was also busy in the kitchen baking. He made some lovely fresh sweet bread rolls, some had chocolate bits in - seriously scrummy.

A good weekend all around!

#instafriday

OK, I tend to take lots of photos on my phone which usually just stay there. I want a record of all aspects of our life and for this reason I love instgram. Snap, filter and post:)

My phone photos capture our life on the go, doing what we just do - nothing too fancy!

However, most of my phone pictures do have a background story/reason;)

Hence, I am now just going to do a photo drop!!

Mr 'I've come downstairs at 9 pm and said I do not want to sleep'! Although charming, the smile didn't work - off to bed he went (again)

The boy has standards, while his brother and I enjoyed our McFlurries, he insisted on proper ice-cream, a scoop each of pistachio and cappacino!

He wanted to go shopping in a one piece - I think not!! It took some discussion with this individual to understand that.

Someone lost x-box playing time for 3 days. This mummy put the remotes in her handbag just to be sure;)

Evening dinner in our house - fell asleep just after coming to the table and just before it was served.

Poorly boy:(

Ipad (or Ipab as he says) + a bisciut = 1 happy boy.

An everyday sight in my living room

When his brother went to scout camp he hijacked his room and books;) Please note he took his own Mickey and bucket with him.

Walked into the living room, turned the light on, heard a light bulb click out, sighed, walked out, rummaged in the kitchen, came back re-positioned the coffee table and viola!! Changed the light bulb while I sat amused watching from the sofa - growing up waaaay too fast, but at least it is mostly in the right direction:)

Can't beat sleeping bag caterpillar on a Thursday night!

Snow in MAY - enough said!

Love a good and much needed haircut!!
