How to make lemonade
First, you need a boy who loves lemonade!
Second, a boy who loves experimenting in the kitchen!
This equals = Tim:)
His general love of food shops and locating the local stores and markets on holiday is spreading. This has been encouraged by starting Home Economics at school this year.
He has been cooking up a storm since. Friday night he started out doing a practice run of a school cooking contest next week. His menu was chicken kebabs, with homemade Tzatziki, followed by a chocolate mousse. He needed a little help with separating the egg, but overall did a great job.
Saturday, he decided to make some homemade lemonade.
He found a recipe and off he went!
He had lots of fun doing it all by himself, and it actually tasted quite good too.
Tig was also busy in the kitchen baking. He made some lovely fresh sweet bread rolls, some had chocolate bits in - seriously scrummy.
A good weekend all around!

#instafriday
OK, I tend to take lots of photos on my phone which usually just stay there. I want a record of all aspects of our life and for this reason I love instgram. Snap, filter and post:)
My phone photos capture our life on the go, doing what we just do - nothing too fancy!
However, most of my phone pictures do have a background story/reason;)
Hence, I am now just going to do a photo drop!!
Mr 'I've come downstairs at 9 pm and said I do not want to sleep'! Although charming, the smile didn't work - off to bed he went (again)
The boy has standards, while his brother and I enjoyed our McFlurries, he insisted on proper ice-cream, a scoop each of pistachio and cappacino!
He wanted to go shopping in a one piece - I think not!! It took some discussion with this individual to understand that.
Someone lost x-box playing time for 3 days. This mummy put the remotes in her handbag just to be sure;)
Evening dinner in our house - fell asleep just after coming to the table and just before it was served.
Poorly boy:(
Ipad (or Ipab as he says) + a bisciut = 1 happy boy.
An everyday sight in my living room
When his brother went to scout camp he hijacked his room and books;) Please note he took his own Mickey and bucket with him.
Walked into the living room, turned the light on, heard a light bulb click out, sighed, walked out, rummaged in the kitchen, came back re-positioned the coffee table and viola!! Changed the light bulb while I sat amused watching from the sofa - growing up waaaay too fast, but at least it is mostly in the right direction:)
Can't beat sleeping bag caterpillar on a Thursday night!
Snow in MAY - enough said!
Love a good and much needed haircut!!

Boy Scout!
Tim has really got the boy scout bug. His troop is really active. There always seems to be an event to attend or a new skill to learn.
Last weekend he spent all Sunday on a mountain orienteering from activity post to post. At each post his patrol had to solve a problem or an create object with limited resources. Everything from food knowledge to first aid was covered. Out of 18 patrols taking part, they won 3rd place :)
On Friday night he headed off again. This time to attend a weekend regional competition event for the Norwegian National Scouting Cup 2013 .
He was excited to get everything together. He learnt a great deal the last time being out in the cold -17c temperatures in February. He made sure he had lots of warm clothes options with him. However, the temperature should be over 20c warmer this time!!
He even gets to try out his new walking trousers this time!!
Tim is actually a third generations scout. Both my dad and Tig were active in the scouting movement for years. Before he headed off in his fancy uniform we took a picture of him holding an old photo of my dad in his scout uniform taken over 50 years ago!!
We need to try and have my MIL see if she has any of Tig too;)
Then off he went!!
Very excited and proud. His patrol is called Bjørn - translation in English is The Bears!
