Gone Fishing Part Two - Catch of the Day:))

Who knew fishing could be soooo much fun!!

It is not very often I have my photo taken, let alone publish it here.

However, I have never seen Tig run so fast for the camera until last Sunday.

Did he want to record my fabulous casting technique??

Was he impressed with my reeling in??

Not quite......

This is what had him snapping away and laughing non stop for 5 mins.

Apparently it is quite a skill to catch a sock from such a deep body of water.

Gone Fishing Part One - The Boys

Tim loves fishing and had been asking Tig for ages to take him. So it was decided that last weekend they would make time and fish!!

Well, I cannot translate onto this page how excited Tim was about this. A great deal of our conversations all week surrounded fish and fishing. Here is a post I put on Facebook about it:

"Loves being the mother of boys, but some days I'm clueless. Today 'Tim' asked if I knew the English name of some Norwegian fish. Erm... forgot to learn those ones in Norwegian class. Then I had to take him shopping for spinners - some type of fish hook for those non fishermen;)"

(FYI, I was told you can't choose a spinner just because it looks pretty;)

So by the time weekend arrived we were all set to go!!

Since it was not raining Tae and I tagged along to get some fresh air too.

It turned out to be a lovely crisp, misty day.

Oops!!

Tae wanted in on the action.

So, Tig decided to teach Tae and let him reel in the line.

Tae's first go at fishing!!

Fishing is hard work when you are two, so someone needed a few snack (ie sweetie) breaks.

 .
Break over, back to fishing.

A very serious Tim.

....and he caught a fish!!!!!

Reeling it in.....

Throwing it onto the rocks.

Introducing himself;)

A very happy fisherman.

So after catching 2 fish and with the rain clouds appearing we went home .... and yes Tim actually ate one of the fish for his dinner.

Silly Saturday

What to do on a dark, rainy Saturday afternoon?

A quiet book, a film or a board game?

Today, none of those ideas were happening in my house.

This is what was going on instead!!

First, they got the giggles ....

Then, they moved onto tickles .....

Next came climbing ....

Obviously horse rides followed .....

Don't even ask ....!

Then, the run and dive .....

And the finale, piggy back rides ......

Trust me, thank yourself lucky I just took photos, the sound effects that went with all the fun was LOUD!!

Mr Tae gets his haircut

For the past seven years everyone in our house has been going to the same hairdressers. It is a great family run place that is really friendly. Tig, Tim and Tae all have the wonderful Frederik cutting their hair (I have his sister).

Tae has now graduated from sitting on my knee whilst getting his haircut to the special booster chair all on his own.

He did amazingly. He sat so still and moved his head just the right way when Frederik asked.

He loved the water spray and kept asking for more!! This amused Frederrik a great deal as during his first 2 haircuts a certain person screamed and objected very loudly and wiggled like crazy if the water spray was even placed near him!!

One of the reasons I love this place is the laid back atmosphere.  Back then when Tae objected to getting his haircut, Frederik calmly told me not to worry. The only person bothered by his objection was me and noone else cared about the noise!! Seriously - you have to love this guy!!

So here is Frederik doing his magic with a perfect model;)

Here is the future Tae with a five o' clock shadow!!

So I this morning Tae was in a silly mood, we were playing peek a boo and then he kept asking me to take his picture, so here he is modelling his new 'do'!!
